Episode 4 - Cruisal Council

Thornton A. Worthman invites his best friends and family on a cruise to the Simaican Isles to celebrate his 100th million Simoleon! What he doesn’t know is, that some of them think he doesn’t deserve it. One of them is even capable of…   Murder…

Dean's Cabin
***************************************************************************

Bianca: “Hello? Ayden, are you in here?”

Bianca: “What the hell… Who did this?”
*Bianca enters the cabin*

*Bianca sees Ayden*
Bianca: “Oh my God…”
*Bianca stands quietly for a minute, then slowly approaches him*

Bianca: “Why did it have to be you Ayden…”
*Bianca sees something written on the floor*
Bianca: “What is this?”

Bianca: “Avenge me? Hmmm…”

Staff Room
***************************************************************************

Katja: “Oh, that isn’t that much of a problem. I’ve seen Stubing controlling this thing before, a little bit of… experimentation and I got this ship moving soon.”
Rudolph: “But... why don’t you move this thing back to land immediately?”
Katja: “Well, we don’t want our dear killer to be able to flee away the second we’re back to society, do we?”
Rudolph: “Err…”
*Bianca enters the staff room*
Bianca: “GUYS, I got some horrible news…”

Rudolph: “Who is it? Who is dead?”
Bianca: “Lawrence Dean and Ayden…”
Katja: “No way… 2 at once?”
Bianca: “Yes. Come with me, it happened in the Dean’s cabin.”

Janett: “LAWRENCE, NOOOO, WHO HAS DONE THIS TO YOU!?!?!?”
Bianca: “Uh-oh, not good.”
Rudolph: “Bad timing…”
Katja: “Mrs. Dean, please!”

Janett: “Who will get me a new car now, who will be raking in the money now, who-.”
Katja: “Mrs. Dean, please calm down a little.”
Janett: “Who will give me my status now, who will-.”
Katja: “Ahem, Mrs. Dean, calm DOWN.”

Bianca: “I’ve found something at Ayden’s body.”
Rudolph: “Be careful Bianca. I’m not going any closer to that.. Ewww..”
*Rudolph shivers at the thought of Ayden's body*
Janett: “NO, I WILL NOT CALM DOWN!! MY HUSBAND HAS BEEN MURDERED- NO, SLAYED!!!”
Katja: “PLEASE CALM DOWN!!!”

Janett: “AND YOU TWO!!! YOU ONLY CARE ABOUT THAT GOOD-FOR-NOTHING VAMPIRE-SUCKER!!! THE NERVE!!!!!”
Katja: “HELP ME, SHE’S UNCONTROLLABLE!!!”

*Rudolph uses the Aura of Soothing to calm Janett down*
Janett: “DON’T!!! DON’T! Don’t!”
*Janett pants heavily. She gets calmer with every breath she takes*
Bianca: *whispering* “Thank God. Lets look to Ayden again…”

*Janett starts crying uncontrollably when she exits the cabin*
Katja: “Okay… Where could we find some clues…”
Rudolph: “There’s something over there.”
Katja: “Really? Lets see then.”

Katja: “ “Avenge me”? Why would he write that?”
*Rudolph shivers*
Rudolph: “To who?”
Katja: “Hmm, I think I’ve got a theory: Ayden was the killer and killed Lawrence. Lawrence countered in some way and killed Ayden, so Ayden has asked an accomplice to finish his job. That sounds realistic, right?”
Rudolph: “Hmm, it is a small possibility.”
*Bianca remembers an event from earlier that day*

Ayden: “That stupid writer guy and that teenage b*tch messed with me… They’ll PAY for that, mark my words!...”
Bianca: “What did they do?”
Ayden: “Mean, disturbing things, that I don’t want to talk about.”
Bianca: “Aha. So we can talk later about it then, I guess.”
Ayden: “…”

Bianca: Oh my God… That’s what he means with it… I must avenge him. By harming Odessa and Tom Lee…
Katja: “Bianca, what are your ideas on this?”
Bianca: “er, whatever you said... although other options are open as well...”

Back Deck
***************************************************************************

Odessa: “We should’ve tried this earlier to forget about the murders… it’s so relaxing to get a sun tan in the middle of the ocean…”
Tom Lee: “… ahhhhh… just the two of us and the golden sun…”
Odessa: "You're really good with words and describing things. No wonder you became a writer heheh."
Tom Lee: “Thanks.”

*Janett runs in, still crying uncontrollably*
Tom Lee: “Shit.”
*Tom Lee looks at Janett*
Tom Lee: “Is Lawrence dead?”
*Janett nods, then continues crying out loudly*

*Odessa and Tom Lee look at eachother. Then, Odessa gets up from her lounger*
Odessa: “I think the two of us should leave.”
Janett: “NO, you will NOT leave!”
Tom Lee: “Say what?”

Janett: “How am I supposed to live on without my dear Law? Who will get money to pay our home? What if a burglar comes, who will beat him up? Or when the house catches fire?”
*Janett continues to cry about things Lawrence was supposed to do*
Odessa: *whispering to Tom Lee* “I think we could better try to sneak away…”

***************************************************************************
Gym
***************************************************************************

Diana: “Come on, Vincent. You can at least try it. It’s fun!”
Vincent: “I’ve tried those things a few years ago. I couldn’t stay on it for more than 19 seconds before falling off.”
Diana: “That’s why you have to keep trying. Okay, just hop on the thing and we’ll see…”
Vincent: “… okay, I’ll try…”

*Vincent puts on his athletic wear and steps on the treadmill*
Vincent: “God, why is this thing so fast?!”
Diana: “You can do it! GOOOOO…”
*Vincent keeps panting and puffing*

*Vincent trips and falls*
Diana: “VIN… cent… ohhh, ouch..”
Vincent: “Aah, help!”
*Vincent rolls off the treadmill*
Vincent: “You see, I fell again!”
Diana: “Come on, you stayed on it for 24 seconds, 5 seconds of improvement! No venture, no gain!”

Vincent: “Don’t talk to me about it. I’m outta here.”
Diana: “Hey, wait!”
*Vincent is gone already*

Diana: “Well… it’s his loss”

***************************************************************************
Side of the Ship
***************************************************************************

Two things are obvious to me: one is that Ayden was not the killer, and two is that he wants me to avenge him… The question is, who? Does he mean his 2 big enemies here on board, Tom Lee and Odessa? Does he mean his cause of dead, Mr. or Mrs. Killer? Or is it a combination of both? Is Tom Lee or Odessa the killer? Such a mindf*ck…   A devilish dilemma…

Another question: should I tell the others about the probable meaning of Ayden’s last will? Could it help the search for the killer?

*Bianca considers the thought deeply*
Probably not. It’s just leading to me. And I seriously don’t want to get framed…
It’s probably just the best I keep my mouth shut…

Odessa: “Thank Plumbob I could escape out of the clutches of Janett’s excessive whining about her "Law". It was just annoying the hell out of me.”
Min Hee: “Odessa, Odessa, Odessa. Cut her some slack. It isn’t easy losing your husband. It must be a hard punch in the face to her.”

Odessa: “Well, more like a punch in her lazy zone. You know what she was mourning about? Him not being able to earn the money. Him putting out house fires. And frickin’ fighting the burglars! I mean, have you ever looked at his build? He would probably be already knocked out by being hit in a pillow fight!”

Min Hee: “Hmm… I now know for sure what type and class those Deans are… but still.”-
Vincent: “Sorry to interrupt you ladies, but Odessa, you must come with me now…”

Odessa: “Uncle Vincent, can it wait? I was just chatting with Min Hee.”
Vincent: “But err.”-
Min Hee: “We kinda were, but…”

Vincent: “Odessa, this is very serious…”
Odessa: “Hmm…”
Min Hee: “Well… maybe we should go with you th.”-
Rudolph *via portophone*: “Min Hee, would you please come to the kitchen as soon as possible? Dinner’s being prepared soon.”
Odessa: “Hmm, I guess that leaves only one option open.”
*Odessa leaves with Vincent, while Min Hee heads for the kitchen*

Vincent: “Odessa, this must be shocking for you to see, but…”

Odessa: “Oh my God… That is…”
Vincent: “I am so sorry, Dessa… I really am.”

Odessa: “I can’t believe it! We were still chatting together one hour ago!”
*Odessa’s emotions cause her to lose grip on the wolf in her*
Odessa: “Oh, not again…”

Vincent: “ODESSA!”
*Odessa transforms to a Werewolf*
Odessa: "AROOOOOWWHH!!!"

Vincent: O_O “I think I can better tell somebody…”

Overview
***************************************************************************

Vincent reveals the whole incident of Tom Lee’s death to Katja, who insists to keep it down until dinner. The two of them move the body to the washing room, near Thornton’s. The next one and a half hours are eventless. But when dinner’s been served, Katja suddenly demands something very unusual……

***************************************************************************

Janett: “What?! Forcing me to have dinner with the servants on board? No way!”
Katja: “Mrs. Dean, may I remind you that I as the head steward have the right to give you orders you must follow?”
*Janett stands up*
Janett: “But isn’t the captain the person with the main authority on board?”
Katja: “Just a reminder to you, captain Stubing is dead. Now please just sit down again and listen to what I have to say!”
Janett: “What are you gonna do to get me back then? Kill me? I still refuse to go back anyway.”

Katja: “Well, I might just have to order Vincent to sit on you…”
*Janett sits back on her chair in a flash*
Janett: “Okay okay, going back already! Now happy? Crazy b*tch
Katja: “Er, thank you very much for your collaboration and your compliment, Mrs. Dean.”

Diana: “Hey, where’s Tom Lee?”
Katja: “Okay, first things first, Tom Lee has been the latest victim of our killer on board.”
*The uninvolved people are shocked by the news*

Min Hee: “But why do you tell this right now, and not right after the body was found?”
Katja: “I wanted to get everybody together, so we can discuss what to do about the killer here.”
Bianca: “Er, what is the point about this discussion when the killer’s just one of us?”
Katja: “That’s a very good question… I’m not entirely sure on the answer myself.”
*Janett gets up again*
Katja: “Well, Vincent I think-”
*Janett sits down again*
“but discussing everything together as one group is far more effective than everybody here just forming small alliances, even though one of us in the discussion is the killer…”

Katja: “So… let this whole ‘Dinner Discussion’ begin!”

Rudolph: “So, if I’m not mistaken, Tom Lee has died.”
*Katja nods to Rudolphs statement*
Rudolph: “So, did anybody notice already that all of the victims, Thornton, Stubing, Lawrence, Ayden and now Tom Lee, are male?”
Vincent: “… Oh my God… Now I’m feeling very unsafe…”
Rudolph: “How can we make sure one of the two of us is not next?”

Diana: “There is no way to, this is a very random killer…”
Vincent: “How is that so?”
Diana: “Well, why would the killer get Lawrence for example? He carries some suspicion and, you can’t deny this, he wouldn’t really be able to resist an attack of the killer, so it would’ve been a better move to leave a weaker person to be killed later on.”

Janett: “Hmf, your thinking process really fits a killer’s thoughts, Diana…”
Diana: “To get a killer, you have to think as a killer, Janett. Plus, I would've played it that way if I was.”
*Janett facepalms*
Janett: “Hmf…”

Katja: “Diana’s got a point. But more importantly, another thing I would like to mention is this
*Katja hands out a smartphone and shows a picture to the whole group*
All: “What?” “What does that mean?” “Who wrote that?” “Closer please, I can’t see it clearly!”

Katja: “This was found near Ayden, probably written by himself. The question is, what does this “Avenge me” mean? Anybody?... Ideas?... Or feeling called upon?...”

Katja: “Nobody?...”
Min Hee: “Well, it seems obvious that it’s addressed to all of us, to find that killer, but that could be too much into the box thinking…”
Katja: “Hmmm… lets let this rest for a while.”

Diana: “Well, I have an idea. We can hold a Tribal Council, like in Simvivor.”
Bianca: “Hmm, and what should we do with the person with the most votes? Kill him? Not too sure on that. Sounds more like Mafia…”
Diana: “No, of course not. It’s just to get an image on what we all think. Katja, should we do it?”
Katja: “Well, it can’t really hurt, now can it?”

*Preparations are made for this ‘Cruisal Council’ and soon, the voting is done…*

It’s obvious who the killer is. Sweet old Mrs. Dean…

Diana, I’m on your trail. First killing people, then trying to frame me, and look what you’ve done now: everybody’s voting on their suspects, so you can use it to plan your further scheming…

Who is the killer? No idea, to be honest…

Is the ‘Avenge me’ a clue? Probably. Odessa

Katja: “All votes are in! The very first vote goes to…”

“Hmpf, I expected this already…”
“The second vote…”

“What? Me?”
“The third vote…”

“Why would I kill somebody?”
“Forth vote is for…”

“Ugh, it’s always the blondie who is a suspect…”
“Vote number 5…”

.

“I think I know who voted on me…”
“Then vote six…”

“Two? Two votes on me?”
"Then we go to vote seven..."

.

“Hmmm…”
“And the final vote…”

“Aha. This actually went better than I expected… because…”

Janett: “I still remember you yelling into my face during the noon today over half of the people on board suspected me!”
Diana: “Well, then Lawrence, Ayden and Tom Lee were still alive! And I know both Ayden and Tom Lee were suspecting you!”

“LIAR!!!”

Odessa: “Tom Lee told us this morning that he thought it was Ayden.”
Others: “Us?”
Odessa: “Yes, uncle Vincent was with us too!”

Tom Lee: “Have you heard it already? The captain’s been murdered by Ayden!”
Vincent: “What?! It was Ayden?!”
Odessa: “I KNEW IT!”
Tom Lee: “I’m sure of it that it was him.”

Vincent: “.. Yes. I that's true…”
Diana: “But…”

*Odessa snarls at Diana, then leaves*
Katja: “I guess this meeting’s dismissed for now…”
*some people leave as well*

Rudolph: “So… about the ship. I think it might be a better idea to go back to civilization before more people die… That killer’s surely increasing their killing pace.”
Katja: “Rudolph, you’re absolutely right. I’m going to start the engines tonight.”

Finally. What were they thinking?

Bridge

Katja: “Home, here we come.”
*starts the engines*

Katja: “But why has nobody thought of moving the other bodies to the washing room? Well, that might be something for tomorrow…”

???: “The engines are working. This may not be happening. This must stop.”

???: “Time to do my job again…”

*Katja’s humming a tune while not noticing somebody else enters the bridge*

*The killer sneaks on Katja, grabs her throat and throws her on the floor*
Katja: “What the?! Owch!!!”

Katja: “Hey you! Don’t pick me, pick one of the guys! They are you main target!”
???: “Oh well, it’s pretty obvious I’m just a random killer, like one of you idiots said. It’s right to do a better move by letting the strong people kick the bucket!”
*The killer binds a chain around Katja’s wrists; the chain from the chandelier which fell on Tom Lee*

Katja: “Ow! That hurts, you fucker!”
???: “Stop whining you!” *kicks Katja’s nose*
Katja: “Ouch! Kutmens!”
???: “Now how should you meet your final destiny…”
Katja: Oh my God... this was it... this is the end... Fuck, this is my fucking end! On a cruise, all alone, in the middle of the night and no friends or family around... Why didn't I quit earlier, before this whole hell broke out?! This job was already becoming a rut anyway! Why didn't I follow my heart?
NOW I'VE NEVER BEEN FRICKING HAPPY IN MY LIFE!

???: “Aha, look what we’ve got over here…”
*The killer grabs the towel lying around*
Katja: “What?”
*Katja sees the towel*
Katja: “Please God, no…”
???: “Do I look like God to you? I don’t think so…”
*The killer hovers the towel before Katja's face, for teasing purposes*
Katja: “Please, have mercy… I.. I won’t tell anybody…”
???: “Oh, you’re begging me for survival. Heheh, hilariously cute. But no.”
*The killer kicks Katja’s stomach, causing her to lose her breath*
???: “I’ve got a different job to do…”
*The killer covers Katja's mouth with the towel and then ties it around Katja’s face, preventing her to breath*
???: “Goodbye, Katja. It was so nice to meet you. But now it’s over. Don't worry, I'm sure you shall be miseed much”
*The killer stops the cruiser's engines. Meanwhile, Katja slowly suffocates to death, crying*

Another episode with 2 deaths. The pace is going up again! Luckily Katja even managed to unite the group together during the dinner, grabbing the vacant post of person with authority. But, as it goes with authority on the Luxury's Lap, it was rewarded with death. How will our Jetsetters react on it? How will they react on their last hope for reaching land again being squished, now the only person on board who can sail the boat is the same person who wants everybody dead and gone? And above all:
WHO IS THE MURDERER?
